The Fencing Nun

Always cool to read positive stories about Catholics who were called to religious life doing something eye-catching. In this case, we have a fencing nun in Chicago. And the way she explained her choice to become a nun was really nice.

"It's more of a feeling within yourself, within your heart," Solak said about her decision to become a Dominican nun. "I think it's true in the same way if you find the right guy. You know it's the right one for you. You can't explain it intellectually. It's a feeling, a feeling you are in the right place."
I always wanted to try fencing when I was a boy. So in a way, I'm a little jealous of her. But very happy that she is able to show people that nuns can be really cool people.
